Fun with Fun and Done!

This product review is from Osie Lebowitz of Honey Bee:

The Fun and Done / Batting Buddy ruler allows you to do a quilt-as-you-go method. In other words, as you are piecing your block, you are also quilting it at the same time. The ruler is a companion to the Fun and Done Quilting patterns by Prairie Sky Quilting.

Fun and Done Ruler and Batting Buddy is a 2 piece acrylic template priced at $18.25. Use the smaller square template to cut batting to size. Use the frame template to cut the backing o size and for placing the batting exactly in the center of the backing square.

I found the ruler and patterns very easy to use. Prairie Sky has done a good job of writing the patterns with clear diagrams. I also like that the yardages in the pattern are figured from crib to twin size.

I really did enjoy using the ruler and creating my quilt with this updated quilt-as-you-go-method. The best part of this technique is after you join the blocks and rows together, you are done....YES DONE....quilting and all! One additional wonderful thing - there is not one hand stitch with this technique (including the binding). Fun and Done /Batting Buddy is easy to use. This technique would be wonderful for charity quilts - I suggest giving it a try! Osie
