Thanksgiving Week

We love seeing the project that people do - its one of the best parts of our job. We are giving away a free pattern to make gift bags this month. Here is a picture of one of the bags & the gift that will go into the bag (a travel pillow case). She made the bag from the scraps leftover from the pillow case - soooo cute!

Mark your calendars for December 14th - we will be having our Open House for the spring classes. This is Cynthia teaching the Bargello Class.

Here are the some of our ladies from the apron make-and-take! Fun class! Next week is the cupcake pincushion from Taylor Made Designs.

Mark your calendars for December 14th - we will be having our Open House for the spring classes. Come check out the models and have some refreshments with us!
Happy Quilting,
Dianne

Nothing Like an Unflattering Picture

OK - I looked at the blog and boy-oh-boy no running away from that picture! So I got out and walked 4.5 miles yesterday with my daughter (who is training to go mush dogs in Minnesota at the Boundry Waters after Christmas)! I am soooo sore today, but we had fun.

Next week will be our annual fat quarter sale - I'll have to bring some healthy snacks to go with the cookies...

We did finish the rearrangement of the store. We will start decorating for the holiday season soon. Come by and see the "new" Honey Bee. I arranged our color wall around the cutting table like a color wheel. Kerry's mom, Peggy, is very sweet and let us borrow her fireplace, so we have a cozy area in the front of the store. Batiks are where the color wall used to be - its great to see them all together. Cool hip prints are around our new "kitchen" area. Debbie will be working her magic on the displays soon and it will all come together.

I just love the cool weather to get us in the mood to stitch, sew, quilt, snuggle, etc.! Hope you stop by to say hello when you are out and about! Dianne

Hello everyone-- Dianne is back from Houston with more great ideas! Right now we are in the process of moving things around and getting it ready for the holidays, in the mean time we've still have a lot of fun classes going on. If you scroll down you'll see ladies in our October bag class, they made some great "Prarire Girl" bag! The Birdie Sling was our November bag. We had a lot of fun!

We are doing a series of "Make 'n Takes" for the holidays. Our first was the gift bag and Barbara, our first student, made a cute bag, and it only took her 15 minutes to make! The next class is the Lilly Apron - very cute. It would be a great Thanksgiving hostess gift and my high-schooler wants me to make one for her to wear over a tshirt. For information on our other "Make and Take" classes go to our website --honeybeequiltstore.com.

DON'T FORGET ---OPEN HOUSE DECEMBER 14!!

Life Gets Back to Normal

Life is back to normal - we are all unpacked from Houston. I miss our breakfasts at the Breakfast Klub (Alabama and Travis in downtown Houston)! That is such a wonderful way to start the day!

We are changing the store up again - I will post some pictures when we are done. Getting out all of our holiday decorations.

My husband is in the construction industry, and as our family faces interesting and uncertain times - I have been thinking of hand made things that I can do for Christmas. We are adding some make-and-takes to the calendar to share these ideas with everyone. I hope you can join us as we bring back the meaning of Christmas and make use of our stashes! Dianne
