Sweet Stitches Block of the Month

Last year we went to Quilt Market to search for fun and amazing new projects to promote in our store and as usual market did not disappoint us.  We found so many great patterns, books and block of the months that we were excited to take them home and start them right away.  One that we started was "Sweet Stitches" by Kathy Schmitz, a cute embroidery block of the month.  Sweet Stitches was well received here at Honey Bee and it makes me so happy when out customers bring in their projects to show us what they have done and what little changes they may have done to make the project their own. 

 

Today was no exception.  Ramona Griffin came in to show me what she had done with her December and January blocks and they were so cute.  On the December block she added a cute little fringe to the toy snowman and on the January block she added buttons and made the banner free flowing.  I just loved the small little changes Ramona made and how she personalized it to fit her style.
