Edyta Sitar has designed a innovative program using her beautiful batik collection called Over the Rainbow from Moda. This quilt is called Spring Bouquet and will use something new that she calls Silhouettes. Each block is comprised of a background square and a packet of Silhouettes that contain precut, fusible applique pieces. You will have a layout chart to place the pieces perfectly. Iron them on - they are backed with Steam-A-Seam so you are able to reposition them before ironing to permanently place them. The fused applique pieces can then be button hole stitched, satin stitched or straight stitched.
She does offer the needle turn instructions as well for the traditional applique quilter. We are getting the entire line, so instead of Silhouettes, you can purchase a fat quarter pack and/or yardage to make the quilt.
You will have the choice of a block of the month program or the entire kit for the 72" x 72" quilt. It is a stunner!
