We Have the BEST Customers!

I sent our weekly email and promoted our new 5 @ the Hive program called Dancing In the Dark. I had been listening to Bruce Springsteen and thought it would make an excellent program name and Sue had been thinking of this black and bright quilt, so we needed no more inspiration to run with it! This is an email I received this morning:

Diane, Just read your newsletter and when I think of "Dancing in the Dark", I don't think of the Bruce "The Boss" Springsteen song. I think of Tony Bennett, Frank Sinatra or Ella Fitzgerald singing the old classic "Dancing in the Dark." Shows you how old I am! This Dancing in the Dark was written in 1930s but remained a favorite for many years. And I wasn't born until 1940! Words go like this:

Music and Lyrics by Arthur Schwartz and Howard Diet
From The Band Wagon,
Dancing in the dark,
Till the tune ends
We’re dancing in the dark,
And it soon ends.
We’re waltzing in the wonder
Of why we’re here;
Time hurries by,
We’re here and gone.
Looking for the light
Of a new love
To brighten up the night.
I have you to love,
And we can face the music together;
Dancing in the dark.

What though love is old?
What though song is old?
Through them we can be young.
Hear this heart of mine
Make yours part of mine.
Dear one, tell me that we’re one!
Dancing in the dark!

Hear Bing Crosby Sing it! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ITD_fzU-hGc
Although I do like the Bruce Springsteen song too! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=at1BhVsImeY

I watched the youtube videos and danced with my teenager to Bing! Great way to start the morning! And she almost admitted that Bruce circa 1980's was hot!
