We have been asked about our next block-of-the-month program. It will be from Quakertown Quilts. Its called Washington Medallion. You will purchase your background, then each month you will receive fabric and instructions for the center, then subsequent borders. Classes will be available once a month if you get stuck, but they swear a beginner can do this quilt! It is 84 1/2" square when complete and is a 12 month program. It will be available in April in time for the Bluebonnet Shop Hop.
We have been busy making models and de-Christmasing the store, and getting our new models up. There is a great pattern from Robert Kaufman for making a quilt using striped batiks - should be done next week. You cut the fabric on the bias, and change directions of the strips to make a ripple quilt - I will post a picture soon.
